Boutique Hotel designed by Christian Lacroix, near Bastille and place des Vosges

Hotel L'Antoine, official website.
Free Wifi, Sauna and fitness

The Hotel Antoine is nestled at the heart of one of the most picturesque suburbs of Paris, on the site of a former 17th century convent. Nearby, although many of the traditional cabinetmakers' workshops have given way to the trendiest fashion boutiques, the busy atmosphere in this once revolutionary and hard-working district remains. Criss-crossed with countless cobblestone passageways and hiding many inner courtyards, the Faubourg Saint-Antoine has retained the charm of its bygone era. A stone's throw from the Place de la Bastille and not far from the famous Marais district, the Hotel Antoine is the perfect 4-star base for any visitor wanting to immerse themselves in the excitement of a modern capital that delights its past.

THE SPIRIT OF THE SUBURB

Consistency in variety! This oxymoron is a perfect description of the décor at Hotel Antoine, and yet another expression of the prolific talent of Christian Lacroix. The designer has captured the suburb's spirit and evolution wonderfully, firmly attaching the hotel to its history and artisan tradition through a wealth of detail.

A patchwork of cement tiles with retro, multi-coloured patterns; differing shades of floorboards; thick carpets, metallic metro wall tiles; wallpapers and illustrated canvasses; wood or fabric panelling; a profusion of trompe-l’œil; floral, baroque, harlequin and striped patterns; scrapbook-style collages, graffiti and double exposures; soft, acid, bright and even fluorescent colours; natural fabric or sophisticated velvet drapes; romantic or modern designer furnishings, in wood or in metal...

These are just some of the items carefully selected by Christian Lacroix, who has given free rein to any fancy or daring combination to create the extravagant, inevitably unique yet welcoming world of the Antoine. A hotel sure to be remembered!
